She was born September 1, 1948, in Miami, FL, daughter of Blase and Kathleen Lombar. Kathy graduated cum laude from Barry College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1970. Beginning her career at Cedars of Lebanon in Miami, moving to American Hospital as a Head Nurse in
a Med-Surg Unit, Kathy found a career in Home Healthcare. Advancing from a visiting nurse, to supervisor, and finally as a compliance director with Carolinas Healthcare System's Healthy@Home.

In 2009, Kathy was named Professional of the Year by the Association of Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina. She also was tapped to write the chapter on infection control in the textbook, "Home Care Nursing Using an Accreditation Approach".

Kathy completed her career in 2014 after 44 years as a healthcare professional.

Kathy was active in the Woodberry Forest Neighborhood Association, the Woodberry Forest Home & Garden Club, and an active member of her church. Her caring nature caused her to extend help and counsel to so many.

A loving wife, devoted mother and grandma, Kathleen married her husband of 40 years, Walter E Hoehn, in Miami FL in 1977. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hoehn is survived by her son, also named Walter and his wife Jennifer, and grandchildren, Avery and Luke Hoehn. She is also survived by her sister, Lucy Fitts and her husband Bob; nephew Michael Fitts and family; niece Mary Ilicak and family and all her extended family that has meant so much to her, The Chambers Family; The Groszko Family; The Stancek Family; The Wash Family and so many more.

We would like to thank her caregivers and friends that provided such great support.
