Treasure Julia Ryan, 74 of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away May 15, 2017.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 24th 1943. She was married to Frank Joseph Ryan.
Treasure or "TJ" had a long career as a Sales Assistant in a Brokerage firm for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter for over 20 years and eventually retired with what is now UBS Financial Group. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church parish. Treasure had a passion for sewing, playing scrabble with her friends, and traveling. She was a dedicated Mom, Grandmother and Friend who always put others first. Her family and friends will remember her most for her famous chocolate whipped cream cake and delicious Sunday dinners. She spent countless hours sharing her talents through cooking with her grandchildren and attempting to teach her daughters to sew and always managing to fix our attempts and turning them into one of a kind works of art. Her feisty spirit, sense of humor, talents and thoughtfulness for others is what she will be remembered for the most.
She is survived by her five children, Frank J. Ryan Jr., Paul M. Ryan, Suzanne C. Ryan, Lynda R. Bell and Erin M. Gillis. Grandchildren, Joshua, Morgan, Samantha, Jessica, Jack, Conner, Tess, Emily, Cole, Carter and 4 great grandchildren. Brother, Albert Solecki and sister-in-law, Mary Solecki.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Levine and Dickson Hospice House Southminster, 8919 Park Road, Charlotte NC 28210.
